Founded in 2005 by owner and operator Bob Olsen, Mount Hood Alpine serves skiers and alpine athletes of all ages and abilities—from young racers just getting started to recreational skiers, elite competitors, World Cup athletes, and Olympians.

More than 20 years later, Mount Hood Alpine remains one of the premier shops in the country for expert boot fitting and ski tuning. We are proud to be both an Atomic Pro Center and a HEAD Performance Race Center.

Bob has worked in the ski industry for more than 40 years as an equipment technician, race coach, ski instructor, company sales representative, retail manager, and business owner. He is also a partner in Dynamic Foot Positioning, LLC, a manufacturer and supplier of custom insoles. But first and foremost, he is a lifelong skier.

His boot-fitting expertise has brought skiers to him from around the country and beyond. Bob continues to provide boot service and custom insoles for athletes competing at the highest levels of the sport, while bringing that same level of care and expertise to recreational skiers who simply want their boots to fit well and ski better.

And when he isn’t in the shop, there’s a decent chance he’s on the mountain.
